What a season for the Black and
Whites !!!
What a season, 12 teams
in the Grand Final was a District record, something that every player
at this Club can be proud of.
Consider this, with 19 "competitive" teams, Cronulla Caringbah makes
up just 9.5% of the Junior league from U8 to A grade
Come Grand Final time though, 21% of the teams contesting Grand Finals
were wearing the Black and White and even better, 25% of all the
Premierships in the Cronulla Sutherland District in 2009 were won by
Cronulla Caringbah. What an extraordinary achievement!
Congratulations to the 9B, 9C, 11C, 16A, 16B, 19's and 21's who can
all claim the title "Premiers".
A couple of special mentions: The win by Teddy's U21's was the first
U21 title we have won since 1971- well done. Although they lost in
extra time, the AR game was one of the most entertaining GF's you
would see, congratulations boys. Again the Club equalled our record
(for the 3rd time) of 7 premierships, congratulations to all involved.
Finally, congratulations to all players and supporters for their
conduct over the Grand Final weekend. The GF celebrations on Saturday and Sunday
were always going to be huge and I'm glad to say that everyone was
well behaved and had a great time.
Some cool pic's from
the All Ages Relay held at the recent Sharks vs Parra game.

50 odd excited n and (not so excited) adults boarded the bus in our carpark at 7.00am for the 10 hr trip to Inverell. Eleven and a half hours
later with our hosts waiting freezing, on the footy field, just one
tourist made it..............Click
